Glossary

Capsules

CBD capsules are similar to your daily vitamin supplements where you take a pill that is filled with hemp oil extract in order to receive the benefits of CBD throughout your day.

Cartridge

The element that holds the CBD vape oil or similar liquid that is to be vaped in a vape pen.

CBG

Cannabigerol (CBG) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid similar to CBD that is most abundant in low-THC, high CBD cannabis and hemp strains. It can play a major role in providing the Entourage Effect consistent with full spectrum CBD oil products.

Dabbing CBD

This is essentially a form of vaping in which a glass rig with a ceramic chamber (or nail) is heated, and a tool is used to apply a small amount of CBD wax or isolate to the heated nail, vaporizing it for inhalation.

Delta-9

The form of THC that is present in cannabis plants and induces the psychoactive effects upon users.

Distillation

Distillation is the process in which the alcohol or CO2 that is used to extract hemp oil out of the hemp plant is separated from the desired hemp components by using selective boiling. This is how our CBD oil products are made pure — through the full separation of the extraction substance from the desired CBD oils using distillation.

Edible

As the name hints to, this is any form of CBD oil product that is edible. Most edibles are a form of traditional food such as a candy, dessert, or snacks which are infused with CBD-rich hemp oils which are absorbed into the bloodstream through digestion for their beneficial properties.

Full-Spectrum CBD Oil

This refers to CBD oil that is extracted from hemp in a manner that includes all of the other natural, beneficial cannabinoids of the plant along with the CBD compounds in order to receive to most potential health benefits.

Hemp Seed

The seed of the hemp plant which is pressed in order to obtain hemp seed oil, which is used in a variety of CBD oil products and hemp lotions.

Isolate

CBD isolate, or concentrate, is the purest form of CBD extraction where CBD is isolated from the other compounds in the hemp plant. It usually comes in a white, crystallized form which is then consumed via vaporization with a dabbing tool similar to CBD wax. It can also be directly ingested.

MCT Oil

Medium chain triglycerides (MCT) oil is an oil that is easily metabolized by the body rather than being stored in the form of fat or cholesterol. Most MCT oil is a combination of coconut and palm oil, which when combined have been deemed to offer a superior solution for consuming CBD oils.

Omega-3

Omega-3 is an essential fatty acid — meaning it is not produced naturally in the body— that is found in a variety of plants, nuts, and fish oils and is linked to improved cardiovascular health.

Omega-6

Omega-6 is another essential fatty acid (meaning it performs a variety of essential functions within the body). It contributes to the function of cell membranes and plays a part in the regulation of gene activity, meaning it plays a big role in helping us live long, healthy lives.

Rick Simpson Oil

This was a form of concentrated cannabis oil containing CBD formed by a Canadian man named Rick Simpson for counteracting his skin cancer after his doctor refused to prescribe him medical marijuana. Word quickly spread as he distributed his oil to others for its medicinal benefits when other medications prescribed were deemed ineffective by patients.

Tetrahydrocannabinol

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the compound found in the cannabis plant that is known to emit the psychoactive, euphoria effects. CBD oil products are required to contain less than 0.3 percent THC, which is a fairly easy feat when using hemp for CBD rather than its cannabis counterpart.

THCV

Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) is another compound found in strains of cannabis or hemp that behaves similarly to CBD, counteracting the effects of the strikingly similar compound, THC, but it does still exhibit trace amounts of psychoactive effects. It has shown to serve as an appetite suppressant along with stimulating bone growth and reducing panic attacks.

Tincture

A tincture is a formulation using various compounds, such as CBD, is extracted using alcohol or CO2 into a solution where it is then bottled and administered via a dropper or pipette.

Topicals

Topicals refer to any product that you apply directly to your skin or area of your body for receiving nourishment. CBD topicals are popular for receiving the benefits of CBD for skin such as a decrease in irritation as well as moisturization.

Vape Pens

The electronic devices used to vape CBD oils and other vape liquids.

Vaping

Vaping entails the act of inhaling a vapor that is created when a liquid is vaporized using an electronic heating device. When CBD vape juice, or e-liquid, is heated via convection with a coil, the vapor is then inhaled in a similar fashion to smoking, but without combustion, making it significantly less harsh on your lungs.

Vaping was first introduced as an alternative to tobacco for nicotine consumption, but it is now used for vaping CBD oil as well. This is because vaping CBD has shown to be one of the quickest ways to have cannabinoids enter your system and receive the benefits of CBD. It is important to ensure that your CBD oil products are meant to be vaped as most CBD vape products are formulated specifically for this purpose. Traditional CBD oils and tinctures are not intended for vaping and can be dangerous if attempted.

Wax

CBD wax is a form of CBD oil product that has a higher viscosity than traditional CBD oil tinctures and contains a high concentration of CBD. They’re a concentrate that can come in a butter, shatter, or crumble form, which each have their own consistencies and are consumed through a process called dabbing.
